Instructions in brief
You can log in to Studeo in two ways: with MPASSid authentication or with a Studeo account.
If you are a new Studeo user, use MPASSid authentication.
Only register a Studeo account if MPASSid authentication is not available to you.
NOTE: If you have used Studeo before and logged in with a Studeo account, continue using that account. If you already have a Studeo account, MPASSid authentication will create a new user account for you. With the new account, you will not see your previous materials – you can only see them by logging in with your original account.
If your account does not work or you do not remember your username or password, contact Studeo customer support ([email protected]).
Teacher registration and login to Studeo
Teachers can register as Studeo users free of charge. If your municipality uses the Finnish National Agency for Education’s MPASSid authentication, you will get access to a teacher account directly. Your teacher role is transferred to us during authentication, and no separate confirmation is needed. We recommend this login method.
Here is how to register an account and log in with MPASSid authentication:
On the Studeo front page, select the Log in button to open the login page.
Click the MPASSid button at the top of the login page.
Select the school level (Elementary school or Middle or high school).
Enter the name of your educational institution in the field that appears.
You will be redirected to the service used by your school. This is most commonly Wilma, but it may also be, for example, Microsoft or Google.
Log in with your own school credentials. Studeo will create a user account for you, and in the future you will be automatically directed to that account when using MPASSid authentication.
Go to your profile settings and add your email address so that we can send you instructions about your new account and using Studeo.
In the future, always remember to log in via the MPASSid button.
If logging in with MPASSid is not possible for some reason, you can create a Studeo account. In that case, we need confirmation, for example from the school secretary or a teacher at your school, that you teach at that school before we can approve the account. The confirmation can be sent to our customer support via chat or by email ([email protected]).
You can register a Studeo account for yourself here. Use your work email address when registering. We review teacher registrations and activate accounts daily. You will receive an email from us when we have activated your account. As a teacher, you can freely explore all our learning materials.
Student registration and login to Studeo
Students should also log in primarily using MPASSid authentication, in the same way as teachers. The student role is transferred to us automatically. With MPASSid login, no separate Studeo credentials are needed. Students can log in using the same credentials they use for other school systems.
If MPASSid authentication is not possible, students can also register a Studeo account with their email address here. For primary school pupils, Studeo accounts can be created by Studeo customer support.
Teachers can guide students in logging in to Studeo by sharing this brief login and user guide with them, or by linking to the help article about logging in that is aimed at students.
NOTE: If pupils already have a Studeo account, they do not need new accounts. MPASSid authentication creates a separate MPASSid account, and materials connected to the Studeo account will not be transferred there.
If students do not have email addresses or if registering themselves is otherwise problematic, the teacher can order accounts for them by downloading the student account form, filling it in and sending it to [email protected]. In this case, the student does not need an email address to create the account. Our customer support will send the usernames and passwords to the teacher’s email address, and the teacher can then forward them to the students.
Important notes
If you can log in using MPASSid authentication, you do not need to create a separate Studeo account.
If you already have a Studeo account and authenticate via MPASSid, a new user account will be created for you, and Studeo will not recognise you as the same user. With the new account, you cannot use the learning materials you have used previously.
When a teacher logs in via MPASSid, a student test account is not created automatically, unlike when creating a Studeo account. You can contact our administration either via chat or by email ([email protected]) to receive a student test account.
If you encounter problems with MPASSid login, please contact our customer support ([email protected]).
